Inclusion and Accessibility

at Camp de Jour

Camp de Jour is an inclusive environment, and we strive to accommodate everyone who wishes to register. However, the Camp de Jour may not be able to meet all needs, particularly if a participant requires full-time 1-on-1 support or is not independent in using the bathroom. If you have any questions about our services and accommodations, or if you have any concerns regarding this matter, please contact our team before registration.

The Day Camp was founded in 1992 by the Conseil communautaire du Grand-Havre (CCGH). It is one of the few French-language camps in the HRM.

The Camp de Jour is offered at two french schools: École du Carrefour (Dartmouth) & École du Sommet (Halifax).

The Camp de Jour promotes the overall development of the French-speaking community. Our goal is to provide a healthy, French-language environment for children.

The Camp de Jour is for children aged 4 to 9 years. Additionally, the Camp offers the "Camp en Action" program for youth aged 10-13 years.

Camp de jour is a project organized by the Grand-Havre Community Council. Thank you to the Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia for their generous support of the CCGH Day Camp. Their contribution helps hundreds of youth enjoy a meaningful summer experience in French!
